In 1997 Robbie and Lisa Mitchell came to Asheville to begin their God-given assignment, to launch a new church where people could know truth and experience life change. The challenges of launching a new work are many, but despite them all a church community began rising up in Asheville as lives were being transformed. Soon the 1,000 square foot store front where the church began, proved to be too small to accommodate Robbie and Lisa’s vision. God opened the door to an existing church facility on Johnston Blvd., where the church continues to thrive.
In the summer of 2007 the Mitchell family moved to Fayetteville, NC, and following their departure, Brent and Cyndy Keating and their two children, moved from Houston, Texas, to carry on the vision God had begun ten years earlier. Brent and Cyndy’s vision includes continuing to reach people with God’s love and leading people into a growing relationship with Christ. The CP church community is excited as we presently explore solutions to accommodate ministry expansion.
